The Purpleheart cores of each ken help add some even better lunar balance paired with softer Cherry or Beech wood on the stall points is a great combo.
we have 2 versions.
The exclusive one has burned designs in the cups and around the handle and will be numbered out of 33 (not 67 like pictured) for this first run. This first drop of these will have the first dozen or so. These are still being finished so some kens may take a few extra days to ship since each are done in house. These will be sold by weight and ken # out of 33.
The second version is plain with just logos on the cups.
For Beech we currently only have the plain version.
About the Altari 2 shape:
ALTARI 2 We took everything we loved about the Altari 1 and dialed that bad boy in.
This shape has some giant soup-drinking cups and all the Lunar honedness that comes with that. This thing isn't feeling too huge either, it has a great hand feel with the curve in the handle.
That deep burned black band around the handle is primarily a grip, that inverse burn lets those letters pop out and adds the right about of additional grip and allows the rest of the ken to be as smooth and premium feeling.
The biggest upgrade is our new Sarado (those connected cups) where it allows the tama to slap 4 points at once. It SOUNDS great to play and it plays awesomely to have that additional contact. Your J-Stick stuff will feel amazing.
-The cups stall points are locked in too. I mean birds just want to be up on that cup.
-The spike is 1 or so mm taller but it's the new tip that makes it better. -Extra deep hole in the base cup really balances everything out without feeling too 'hollow'
Overall we are stupid stoked on this new shape and so far we've heard great feedback, can't wait to know what you think!
